The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce brought their Leadership Class to view the completed Gateway Park last week, thank you Jerrilea for including our park in your class schedule! Also, thank you Dan with SCJ Alliance, for telling the group about the park and how it was designed!
June 18, 2019 - Councilmember Chuck Johnson announced his resignation from the City Council today effective June 30, 2019. Mr. Johnson has been on the East Wenatchee City Council for 13 years. Chuck said that he would like to thank the great people of the Wenatchee Valley it has been an honor to serve our community.
Mayor Lacy acknowledged Councilmember Johnson today during the regularly scheduled Council Meeting and presented him with a certificate of appreciation for his service.
The City of East Wenatchee is led by an elected Mayor and City Council. The Mayor’s Office includes the Mayor and an Executive Secretary.
Serving as the highest elected official in the municipal government, the Mayor holds administrative authority, including veto power. As such, the Mayor provides the necessary leadership and direction to implement the goals and strategies of the City. East Wenatchee’s Mayor takes a proactive approach to representing our area to other local governments, regional organizations and federal and state representatives.
